EAS Invited to the European Parliament to Discuss EU Policies Shaping the European Sport Model

On March 18, 2025, the Committee on Culture and Education (CULT) of the European Parliament held a consultative meeting to discuss the role of EU policies in shaping the European Sport Model. The event brought together key stakeholders active in the European sports sector.

A total of 40 stakeholders attended the meeting, with 20 of them delivering short interventions to contribute to the future of European sport policy. Among them, Prof. Laura Capranica, President of EAS (European Athlete as Student) and one of our project partners, emphasized the value of ERASMUS+ Sport cooperative projects in supporting athletes’ right to education.

Within this context, she also had the opportunity to present our DCMENTOR project, highlighting its objectives and relevance as a model for promoting dual career pathways for student-athletes across Europe.
